Seeing Aldous Harding perform feels like you’re looking at a different singer every song. As the daughter of two musicians she initially refused to make music. That fortunately didn’t take, because the Kiwi songwriter and musician has music etched in her genes. Harding’s expressive voice is fragile at one moment, hoarse and childish the next, being able to switch characters, moods and personalities on a whim. That, in combination with her astute lyrical prowess, makes Aldous Harding one of the most singular contemporary talents. We’re very happy that she’s coming to Best Kept Secret.
