Young George van den Broek may be a typically Dutch name, he was actually born in Manchester. Yellow Days has yet to eclipse the 2-0 mark, but somehow, he sings as if he has acquired the wisdom of a blues singer in his seventies with a lot of misery to reflect on. Yellow Days is also part of a young and vibrant English DIY-scene scene. Accordingly, his album is called Is Everything OK In Your World?, which was recorded in the quaint garden house of his parents. The latest generation of rising stars in England employ a crossover mentality and Yellow Days is no exception. Check out the wonderful collaboration ‘Lately I’ Van den Broek did with rising hip hop star Rejjie Snow.
