10 years of High Violet
The National’s much-lauded fifth studio-album High Violet turns ten in 2020, the record that cemented them as one of the most beloved bands of the past decade. Since this is such a landmark moment for Matt Berninger, the Dessner brothers, and the Devendorf brothers, they have hatched a very special live performance for this year’s Best Kept Secret festival. Some of the band’s most memorable music, including ‘Terrible Love’, ‘Sorrow’, ‘Bloodbuzz Ohio’ and ‘England’, takes center stage in a set that will feature many familiar guest appearances. In a nutshell, this is the special edition-equivalent of a ‘regular’ The National show, (which feel like unique occasions in and of themselves anyway).
