Somewhere beneath the still resonating waves of Amapiano, Afro Tech and Gqom the next musical revolution is being born. Elements that define the 3 Step sound is the use of the kick, which is played in a beat of 3, and the snare drum that emphasizes the log drum and sub bass. The sound is also bolstered with African percussions which are usually looped, but provided with melodic elements like flutes, marimba and brass.
