Mia Koden

Top shelf bass-heavy rhythms

Mia Koden
  • Saturday 13  →  2.00 - 4.00

The lower frequencies are where producer/DJ Mia Koden is most at home, from the womb to the booth.

Koden, born Sancha Ndeko, has keen expertise on how low a bass can indeed go, connecting the dots between dub, dubstep, grime and other bass-heavy dance transmutations. Ndeko’s sets bring the rapturous energy of soundsystem block parties to each room or stage: odysseys that span generations, bolster communities and honour undersung histories.
