Sudan’s latest long player THE BPM ups the tempo from her pop, R&B and hip-hop abstractions, taking deep inspiration from the legendary club scenes in Detroit, New Jersey and Chicago. A quest to get in sync with her inner rhythm: somewhere between the spiritual and the silly, cherrypicking elements from the gospel as readily as from cyberpunk.
