Shug La Sheedah (History of Hip Hop)

DKSAD

This year also we celebrate every golden hour at The Floor with an homage to a musical genre or style. Named after the superb compilations made by Bob Dylan called Theme Time Radio Hour. One of these magical slots will be hosted by feel good powerhouse Shug La Sheedah. No one is better at representing the various shapes, forms and colours that hip hop has to offer. She brings the grind to the club, but just as easily rocks our soul, like she did when opening for giants like Diana Ross and Grandmaster Flash. A social worker at heart Shug La Sheedah was frustrated that 50 years of hip hop culture didn’t get the attention it deserved in our country. About time to set that record straight, by letting one of the finest selectors in modern black music express herself. The funk shall be within you!
