Oh, to yearn for the days when ‘Kiss Me’ and ‘Torn’ made heartbreak a little easier to process; LA duo After take those very vibrations to this current age.

After do take bolder, more unexpected roads to actualise their 00's inspired nostalgia pop; some songs started with singer Justine Dorsey singing over drum loops from Akira Yamaoka's Silent Hill soundtrack (!). Whether you want to take After's dulcet sound at face value, or listen to it like some kind of warped deconstruction of it, is entirely up to you.

So what's After's secret?
A geeky appreciation for music that seemingly captures simpler times, and a staunch imagination to achieve it through different, quite colorful means.
