Getdown Services
Jolly have-a-go 'power disco' hijinks
-
Sunday 14 → 17.30 - 18.30
The ‘plan’ behind Getdown Services was to have no plan at all: except basking in some fearless fumbling about and fun.
This sense of abandon morphs into a thrifty mix of eighties pop, post-punk, and classic rock that’s frequently been dubbed as ‘power disco’. Indeed, these two freewheeling Bristolians seem to make it up as they go along, and it often unfolds in similar comedic brilliance as in that famous sitcom “Peep Show”. A love for all things music-related, from Chic to AC/DC, is worn on Getdown Services' furrowed sleeves.
