Greg Freeman pens lo-fi indie-americana songs about how hard it is to make meaningful connections; and by doing so, he creates meaningful connections.

Much like fellow peers like Cass McCombs, This Is Lorelei and Wild Pink, Freeman's tunes maintain a fascinating balance between sad, serious and funny. His latest LP All Set the Bone has been hailed as a modern classic for its unvarnished charm and musical versatility.

So what's Greg's secret?
Sure, he can jot down a great tune. But the way Freeman uses all his influences – from bluegrass to Unwound – to express his subject matter further is something worth writing tons of paragraphs about.
