Julien Baker is a songwriter who will move an audience through devastating quietude and cathartic chaos.

Since her impressive debut Sprained Ankle back in 2015, the Memphis native has taken the listener through hymns of hope, addiction, faith, resilience and redemption. As one-third of Grammy-winning supergroup Boygenius, alongside Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus, Baker's profile has risen considerably as one of the most captivating arists of this era.

So what's Julien Baker's secret?
Authenticity and a fearlessness in courting the fault lines in her own life. Even when her music is at its most gentle, you can feel the intensity and pure guts simmering underneath it.
